In 2024, Adoption.com enlisted me to rethink their international-adoption platform, simplifying legal steps, boosting accessibility and crafting an emotionally resonant journey that felt supportive, not overwhelming.

CHALLENGE & DISCOVERY
High dropout at the cost-estimation stage revealed that long FAQ pages eroded trust. In interviews, prospective parents repeatedly said they craved clear timeline visuals over dense text.
APPROACH
→ Interactive clarity: Designed a mobile-first cost-and-timeline calculator that guides families step-by-step.
→ Emotional resonance: Curated empathetic photography and plain-English microcopy to humanize each stage.
→ Modular flexibility: Built CMS-driven content blocks so country-specific rules could be updated without a redesign.
OUTCOME
By launch, the streamlined flow shaved 22 % off time-on-task and drove an 18 % lift in form completions while cutting bounce rates by 14 %.
